Nelissa Hilman.

She resigned from her former professional Job and headed to Florence, Italy, in March 2011, all by herself with very high expectations.... to pursue what she really wants to do in her life.

To become a shoe maker.

After a few months playing with raw cow skin, cutter,  nails... She came back to Malaysia few months after and surprised me with an invitation to her first NELISSA HILMAN collection runway in Malaysian International Fashion Week (MIFW), November 2011. Following nelissahilman.com , I knew something big about to come out when she posted in February 2012, a little preview about her 'work-in progress' :)

FIRST DATE

Someone very very close to me has been bugging me out for the last three days. She's going to be on a date with a guy for the first time in her life.

Aww! =D

"On what issues should we talk about?"

"If he asked me for lunch, who should pay? Bayar sendiri-sendiri kan?"

"Oh no! I'm afraid I will end up looking at my plate for 2 hours because i do not know what to talk"

"Can i cancel the date last minutes?"

=P

Yes! she is very nervous and shy.


Like a pro, i told her..

"Just relax my dear. When the actual things come, you will be reacting just naturally with the flow. Don't be surprise if you'll find the story of his neighbor becomes very interesting. Then you might start to let him know about your neighbor too. Or maybe your cat. I suggest you text him this before your date.
"Hi. This is just a gentle reminder. Please do expect to see a weird lady sitting in front of you on our date".

And She thanked me with this, "Mengong la mu nih!!!!".

I continued, "Most importantly, just be yourself okay. Don't be over reacting or be someone else who is not you. You will end up doing the worst thing than u ever imagine"

And she laughed, "HAHAHAHA. Macam kamu kan??"

About 10 years ago, i had my first date ever in my life. Before that xpernahla keluar berdua pun dengan any guy. So, memang nervous. :P

Place: Burger King, KLCC. (Not only i experienced a date, but also the first time i tasted Burger King :))

Everything went so well, until we sit and start eating our burgers.

Actually, these are the ways i eat any burgers;

Step 1 - The top seed bun
Step 2 -  The juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and onion, etc 
Step 3 - The beef
Step 4 - The bottom bun

Trust me, i draw burger here

 I paused for a while and heard some voices told me;
"Dun be fool by showing him the real way you eat burger. Eat like a normal people, please".

I listened to the voice, grabbed the whole burger and brought them to my mouth.

The moment i bit it....

The beef and all whatever tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and onions jumped between the two bun and made double bounce, flying low and rest peacefully in HIS tray.

For the next 2 minutes, i didn't look up figuring out what to do next.
On the first date, i show my real self already..:P


"Lenkali makan jelah satu-satu. Xpe, xyah malu", kata si dia.

Huwaaaaaaaa... serius merah padam masa tu. =P
Malu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Penat control ayu tau!!! 


Mujurla after that, he still want to date me, love me and take me as her wife..
=D

So the moral of the story, just be yourself, dearies.
Kalau ada jodoh, no matter how clumsy you are on your first date, he will still like you.
HAHA

But, if xde jodoh, dun be so sad. Do not blame youself. Allah knows best, right? Move on and Insya Allah, you'll find the right one sooner or later. :)

WISHES :)

When i was just a little girl, i told this to my mama, "Mama ku, Besar nanti kan, KakYung nak ada rumah kat negara omputeh la". My mom asked me why..

Then when i met Armi, and got married to him, I did few times asked him this, "Jom pindah California nak?".=P

Why?

Because i just love wildflowers so much!
(why California? Because the first time i saw wildflowers photos long time ago, they're from California :p)

I'd been dreaming this since i was a kid...

To own a house on a lawn surrounded by wildflowers, so that everyday, i could make freshly bouquets as decoration for my family hall, dining table, or maybe at some corner in the rooms. When i getting older, I want to spend my my life sewing my cucu-cucu dress at the balcony, while having my coffee and keropok lekor (eh, macam x kena je.. =P), watching my husband washing his Volkswagen Combi, and also observing my grandchildren picking  wildflowers nearby the house. How lovely!!

Oh Verangan! :)

"Hujan Emas di negera Orang, hujan batu di negara sendiri, lebih baik di negara sendiri,Kak Yong. Bunga lalang belakang rumah kita pun okay ape".. . Aih lahai, boleh tak my mom ni?!! HAHAHA.

Anyway, if, I've been granted a wish,  i really want to visit wildflowers field one day. (Tolongla Encik Armi baca entry ni.. puh leaseee). If two wishes granted, then i would also like to have a florist shop for these flowers. I would pick and make the bouquet myself dengan penuh kasih sayang. :)

Oh well, I think now i can see some positive signs for my wishes, because this morning, i found them in front of my house;

D-U-C-K or D-U-C-R ?

Oman and I had some spell and learn activity.

We chosed a picture, tried to spell the word that shown underneath, and matched the letter pieces with the spellings.

We're so proud that we formed a very dedicated and understanding team.

Shake hand.
:)

But not with this one word.

Momma: Ok next Is duck. Oman, how to spell duck?

Oman: (looking at the spelling beliw the pic) D-U-C-R.

Momma: Haip. The last letter was wrong. Try again.

Oman: D-U-C-R

Momma: Salah dear. It should be D-U-C-K.

Oman: Betulla. D-U-C-R. Momma ni x tengok betul-betul ke?

Momma: (Ewah kemahin :p)
..and i looked at the spelling..

pfffttt... how on earth the font 'K' they use for 3-5 years old kids learning game is like that!!!

If i were Oman, I would get confuse too!!
=P

How to explain to my son now??
