My 3 years and 9 months old Little Kidd, Oman, is currently having an ultimate passion in sketching/drawing.

We bought a rim of A4 paper for the printer at home but end up Oman took it all to draw. :)

What's cute abut this Little Kidd, is that we think that he have BALANCE talent from his Dadda and Momma. Of course the drawing part he got from his Dadda, and what he got from his Momma is the "pot-pot" (read: clumsiness) . =D Every time he wanted to draw, he would forget where did he last keep the pencil/pen he  used before that. He would then chase each and everyone at home to look for his stuff, especially to momma, until it is being delivered to his hand. 

Dah la Cari sendiri tak mau. Kekwat sangat!!   (kekwat tak tau ikut sapa :P)

What ever he draws is precious to us, even he draws a worm :p thus, we do keep each and every of his artwork. I plan to frame some of them, and bound the rest to be his milestone booklet. When i got back from Muscat, Oman excitedly showed me some of his artwork during my one week absence. Wow!

I think he imagined how the plane looks like before departure with stairs and all :)

My husband and I are not able to predict until when Oman will pursue this passion but DEFINITELY we will keep encouraging and supporting him :)

Nelissa Hilman.

She resigned from her former professional Job and headed to Florence, Italy, in March 2011, all by herself with very high expectations.... to pursue what she really wants to do in her life.

To become a shoe maker.

After a few months playing with raw cow skin, cutter,  nails... She came back to Malaysia few months after and surprised me with an invitation to her first NELISSA HILMAN collection runway in Malaysian International Fashion Week (MIFW), November 2011. Following nelissahilman.com , I knew something big about to come out when she posted in February 2012, a little preview about her 'work-in progress' :)

WISHES :)

When i was just a little girl, i told this to my mama, "Mama ku, Besar nanti kan, KakYung nak ada rumah kat negara omputeh la". My mom asked me why..

Then when i met Armi, and got married to him, I did few times asked him this, "Jom pindah California nak?".=P

Why?

Because i just love wildflowers so much!
(why California? Because the first time i saw wildflowers photos long time ago, they're from California :p)

I'd been dreaming this since i was a kid...

To own a house on a lawn surrounded by wildflowers, so that everyday, i could make freshly bouquets as decoration for my family hall, dining table, or maybe at some corner in the rooms. When i getting older, I want to spend my my life sewing my cucu-cucu dress at the balcony, while having my coffee and keropok lekor (eh, macam x kena je.. =P), watching my husband washing his Volkswagen Combi, and also observing my grandchildren picking  wildflowers nearby the house. How lovely!!

Oh Verangan! :)

"Hujan Emas di negera Orang, hujan batu di negara sendiri, lebih baik di negara sendiri,Kak Yong. Bunga lalang belakang rumah kita pun okay ape".. . Aih lahai, boleh tak my mom ni?!! HAHAHA.

Anyway, if, I've been granted a wish,  i really want to visit wildflowers field one day. (Tolongla Encik Armi baca entry ni.. puh leaseee). If two wishes granted, then i would also like to have a florist shop for these flowers. I would pick and make the bouquet myself dengan penuh kasih sayang. :)

THE BDA/MIFW 2011 GALA SHOWCASE (Part 2)

As i mentioned before, the main reason of my excitation to this show was to give my full support to a friend of mine, NELISSA HILMAN. Allow me to give a piece of introduction to this beautiful young designer;

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Nelissa Hilman graduated in Chemical Engineering before attending the Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing in Florence, Italy where she studied shoe-making. While she has always wanted to study design, like many parents, thought practically should come first. Even thought it seemed like a constraint at the time, she is grateful that her background in engineering has turned out to be instrumental in her approach to design. She believes that design is in everything we make, but it's also between those things - it's a mix of craft, science, storytelling and philosophy.

She is passionate about her role as the CEO (or rather Chief Energy Officer) for Nelissa Hilman Fine Shoes as she is working towards her debut women footwear collection and strives to make her brand appealing and unique, finding the balance between art and science.

"I love what i do. I love the craft of shoe-making. I want to celebrate its traditions at the same time as i push forward the boundaries"

Nelissa Hilman fine shoes is created for sophisticated adults who are not drawn to extremes, but rather an urge to refine classic silhouettes to perfection.

I am sure once your read her website; www.nelissahilman.com, you will be blown away by her journey in shoe-making and falling in love with her productions. Launching in the market, i dream to get one! :)

I found out that one of my favorite blogger, Vivy, was also attending the show. Seriously excited sangat-sangat!! Setelah di tolak-tolak dari belakang oleh En. Armi, akhirnya i beranikan diri to say hi to her. Omai!! She's a very soft-spoken girl, very humble, very beautiful in her Radzuan Radziwill Kaftan and AzuraAzwa's headband.

Malam tu i tido sambil senyum. :)
