Salam dari Bandung semua.

Untuk pengetahuan, ini udah hari ke tiga gue netap di sini. Bandung nyaman sekali dong ah. Cewek dan cowoknya juga lucu gitu.

Via the first Air Asia flight from LCCT on last Sunday, I arrived here at the very early in the morning.

(When the plane touched down and the seat belt signal is off, immediately put yourself in the queue, climbed down the stairs and RUN to the arriving hall. Hihi. There are only 3 counters with 2 custom officers. 1 counter to validate local passport and the other one is for foreign. They will ask you to make 2 lines for foreigners. Hmm.. imagine, both lines to be handled by only 1 officer. If you're the 30th person in your line, then you have to times two, because the officer going to check alternate line 1 and line 2.  So, why you need to run? to ensure that you among the earliest reach the immigration so that your leg will not cramp for standing too long before your turn) =D

The standard taxi fare from Bandung Airport to Cihampelas Street, where Sensa Hotel is located is IDR 40,000. I booked the taxi at the counter outside the arriving hall. The taxi number was written on the receipt given to me.

(Don't be shocked if some taxi drivers will ask for additional IDR 4,000 (RM1.50) for you to pay the parking fee. Pelik tapi benar. It's good also if you reserve few pieces of IDR 10,000 to pay your taxi fare. There is possibility the taxi driver has not enough change. In my case, I should received IDR 60,000 for the balance, but he only had IDR 30,000. Xpela i took that half and the other half, I anggap sedekah. :). (Kene ikhlas you, kalau tak mesti my traveling jadi x best.))

I reached the hotel at 8.30am but I can only check-in at 2.00 pm. To kill time, I spent more than 5 hours in Cihampelas Walk or CiWalk, known shopping complex connected to the Sensa Hotel.

We arranged ourselves to check out from the hotel as soon as possible that morning, so that we could have enough time to visit a few more places before we caught our flight back at 3.30pm. As soon as 10.00 am, we had already in Amir's MPV headed to Pasar Baru.

Pasar Baru is a place that our moms gonna love it so much! & tingkat xsilap and everything could be found here!!!! The best of it, you can really bargain for the price. We went straight to the level that sold prayer's uniform (telekong) and i got headache straightaways. There were too many choices from many type of materials, colors and design. Iman juga harus kuat sebab bila dah semuanya menarik maunyer jadi overspent. hah! Finally, i bought 3 pairs of plain white cotton made. Suci gitu! Two for my mom and my mil, and another one for me.

Those were all i wanted to buy in Pasar Baru. Before we moved on to the next destination, i sempat to visit textile's floor to check on prices and all i could say was Omaigod!! hihi. Banyak giler kain, ladies and harganya mantop!!. Seb baik raya lambat lagi. Haha. Last year, we were here and borong laces for Irma's wedding. Memang berbaloi-baloi.

Next, we were headed to Kartika Sari Complex. Mak datuk besar giler!! It has it's own building with basement parkings and 3 floors for bussiness purposes. Having the biggest name in bakery line, it's Cakes are the best!! I love Tiramisu cake yg kukus punya!!! mmg sedap x hengat!! :) Amir did mention about Amanda who also having the same speciality in this industry but we didn't had much time to get it.

Before we called it a half day, :p, Amir brought us to taste Sup Buntut at this restaurant called Dapur Dahapati. Amir asked us to try Sup Buntut Goreng which is the specialty of this restaurant. Sup dia mmg terbaik bai!!! Uppsi!! wait, buntut here means ekor okeh. Sup ekor. hihi. But the goreng part was a bit sweet for me so i prefer for Sup buntut biasa than goreng :)

Anak bujang saya makan ayam lagi and carrot. lagi-lagi ayam :)

On the way to the airport we had another stop at this kedai who sold segala macam jenis kerepek. Nak beli keropok Malinjau kat sini ler. :).

We then reached the Bandung Airport at 1.30pm and all departure process was flowing smoothly, until the flight was about to take off. That was when the scariest thing ever happened in my life.........

Everyone had buckled up the seat belt including Oman. One seat in our row was empty so Oman could be seated in the middle of me and my hubby. As usual, the plane moved slowly to the point where it would speed up to generate the right momentum in order for it to take off. Then, we heard the captain voice, "We're ready for take off".

The plane was at it maximum speed and when it reached the top speed where it should be taking off, then suddenly it couldn't, the plane was immediately on emergency break. Bayangkanlah, masa tu tengah laju ya amat and then break tiba-tiba?? Macamana kapal terbang tu bergoyang-goyang to control the sudden stop? Tuhan je yg tahu. I just couldn't feel my leg at all at that moment. Sejuk. Kaku. I put my hand on Oman's chest and i could feel my son hb was beating so fast. Pity us. Pity everyone in that plane. That such thing was never happened to any of us before. :(

Alhamdulillah, the plane managed to stop betul-betul dekat hujung landasan. Masa tu memang dah mengucap panjang. I dah terbayang explosion lagi. Nauzubillah. Tuhan masih panjangkan umur kami. No one was injured and masing-masing berjaya menenangkan diri masing-masing. Syukur.

The lead flight attendance informed us that there was a fuel warning alarm occurred immediately when the flight was about to take off just now. That's why it was failed to do that. Then he said no need to worry anything as their technical team will try to solve the problem as soon as possible. Uish.. maunya x worry!!!!.


45 minutes later.....
Our heart couldn't stop beating fast when we heard that we were still gonna fly using the same aircraft. :( Owh even they said the problem had been fixed but how on earth they assured that the same thing would not be happen again for the second take off????

However, i really should give the credits to all the FAs for really trying best to control the situations and maintained their smiles all the times. macam xde pape jer berlaku.

I was really berserah and holding my boys' hands tightly. Mujurlah Armi sangat tenang. I think he was trying to calm me down by showing his cool face. berjayala sikit-sikit. Tapi dah kalau i memang penakut tiap kali take off and landing.. xde maknanya.

Alhamdulillah, take off and landing was succeed after that. Masa 2nd take off i could hear ramai yg mengucap Syahadah.

Until now, I couldn't stop reciting Astaghfirullah and then Alhamdulillah when that tragedy came to my mind again and again. Lebih bersyukur when i heard that they said it's better that they discovered the alarm before take off because if it was after, then no one would knew if we managed to land LCCT safely or else. Owh no!!!

That tragedy makes me appreciate my life more than before. It occurred a few days before my born day, 2nd Feb. Alhamdulillah. Thank you Ya Allah for still giving me the chance to breath and improve myself to be better person in this world. Syukur ya Tuhan, my son and my hubby are still here with me, sharing our loves.

We do not know when we will return back to Yang Maha Esa. It could be anytime, anywhere. Jangan takut naik flight pulak yer lepas ni.

To all, please apology for all my wrongdoings. May all of us be blessed by HIM fi dunya wa akhirah. Amin.

Sorry for keeping away quite a while. I was in Bandung for the whole last weekdays.

Everything's there was great except for one tragedy. I will tell about this perhaps at the end of this entry or maybe next one. All i want to say is that, I really bersyukur that Allah still permit us to breath until today and may Him keep all of us in His beloved Shelter. Amin.

Me and a colleague safely touched down Bandung Airport at 1.10pm local time (2.10pm Malaysia). Comel jer airport kat sana. Masuk-masuk jer dah jumpa immigration then terus collect baggage. For those who has never or has not visited Bandung over a year, just to let you know that the immigration is now more strict and they are using the system that almost similar like US (jari jemari kiri kanan semua kene scanned and recorded).

It wasn't hard to get a taxi in Bandung. There's a taxi counter at the arrival hall, you just tell the man the place you're going and he will gift you a receipt with the taxi number and fares written on it. Unless you'd already contracted with any private driver a.k.a Pak Supir, then he should had been waiting for you out there.

The hotel that i resided in Bandung was Aston Tropicana. It's located on Chihampelas Street, just a walking distance from a busy commercial place, CiWalk. In front of the hotel, berderet-deret FO for jeans okeh. I felt blue. :P

The meeting would be started the next day so me and my friend planned to visit some outlets out there. After refreshed and solat, we started venturing the streets in front of the hotel. We entered two jeans outlet but we ended up couldn't find anything to buy. Masing-masing x budget nak beli jeans pun sebenarnya.

The most interesting street with full of outlets on it is Jalan Riau. Serius sapa yang datang bandung tapi x pergi this streets memang nak kene tarik telinga tau!. Besides shopping, you will be amused by every decorations of each F.O. Ade yang siap ada kolam ikan bagai. And of course, some of you might be having slight mental problem because too many things to see and buy. Kah kah. Ladies, beware!!

From Chihampelas, we went to Jalan Riau by taxi at cost of IDR12,000 (~ Rm4.00). We're not visited every and all F.O since we're running out of time. Those we managed to cover were The Secret (cantek weh dalam dia!!), Branded Club Boutique (ade kolam ikan!!), The Oasis and The Summit.

It was dark outside and we decided to discontinue our hunting and go back to hotel. Sigh, i missed to check out The Heritage. Not really because of the shopping but the building is so so pretty. Suka weh masuk building cantek-cantek ni. :)

We then had our dinner after Maghrib at a Nasi Padang Restaurant just a few block from the hotel. Sedap and murah! :) Somewhere at 11pm, when everyone was about to sleep, i decided to get my body pampered with the Balinese Massage at the Rose Spa serviceable in Aston. I was quite surprised when they told me that the spa would open until 2am in the morning. Wow!

Sekali sekala buat body massaging mmg best! :)

Ho yeah Good morning. I was jumped high of my bed when i opened my eyes and saw that it was already bright outside. It was my first time to chair a meeting and only God knew how nervous was i. Hihi. Phew!! saspen je tau. Baru 6.00 am dah memang dah terang benderang kat Bandung.

An hour before the meeting started, i was ready to get my breakfast. Do you want to know a secret? I really love to eat bread and butter kat hotel. kah Kah. Ntahla xtau napa. The bread macam lembut bangat. :P

Pergi breakfast pakai biase-biase jer dulu. Xmo baju bau asap la konon. :P

Remember on my previous entry on Egypt? I did share with you guys on the casual business attires? Let's have another round. Again with humble, i would like to express here that i'm not a fashion consultant or a staylista. I'm just sharing, kay. Kalau x suka, xpe. :)

Day 1 Meeting Attire

The meeting was ended at 5.30pm and i was really really couldn't stop smiling after that. Some of you might have known the reason already. Yes, the boys would be arriving to Bandung that evening. Yeeha!! Hubby told me that this trip considered an advance Birthday present to Oman. Actually, that was not his first time. Oman was in Bandung when he was 6th month old.

Time ni Oman belum boleh jalan lagi. :)

My hubby's friend aka our private driver in Bandung fetched me at 8.00pm sharp at the hotel 's lobby. Serious x saba okeh!! :)

Setibanya di Arrival hall, anak bujangku tgh busy nose-picking dalam stroller, sabo jelah!

Oman was kinda shocked when he saw me standing there in front of them. Pelik agaknya nampak momma tiba-tiba. hihi. We were then headed to Suis Butcher Steak House to have our dinner (oi, pegi Bandung makan nasikla! xpe xpe, steak kat sini memang sedap! :)). After dinner, we went back to the hotel and xlama lepas tu the boys dah dibuai mimpi indah. hihihi.

What a great morning i had that i woke up in the middle of my two beloved boys (Oman tido dalam cot belah kanan). Too bad I couldn't follow them jalan-jalan that day. Ape nak buat, kan momma kelija. Hihi.

Day 2 Meeting Attire

When the agenda was about to end, the host of the meeting announced that there would be a dinner organized for all delegates at Restoran Raja Melayu. Family members were invited too. I immediately called the boys to pass the invitation. Pak Nuurill (gelaran kawan-kawan to my hubby. haha) pemalu rupanya. Penat tau i nak pujuk dia join. He only surrendered after Amir convinced him that Raja Melayu's foods were delicious. kah kah.

Since the meeting was ended about 3 and half hour before dinner time, so, the boys picked me at the hotel and we went to visit Rumah Mode. Ish Ish, this place is among the most famous factory outlet in Bandung. Huge, variety, lengkap dengan restoran, Surau pun ada and the buildings are very nice. Again here i shopped for Oman. Oman lagi!! Hihi

Sempat tukar shawl yer. Harap maklum. :P

Oman fell asleep. Momma and dadda pun nak berlakon tido jugak. Haha.

After Rumah Mode, Amir drove us to few more shops which sells local brands or might be imported underground brands. Honestly, me and hubby prefers this kind of shop more!! Encik hubby suka design2 t-shirts kat sini. Kalau kedai untuk girls tu lagila menarik. They deco the shops very 'concept'ly. Some with polka dots, some with stripes, some with very English look. Even they're smaller compared to F.O, but their selections are much more interesting to us.

At 8pm in the evening, Amir sent us to Rumoh Makan Raja Melayu for the dinner. Masuk-masuk jer restaurant lagu Siti okeh. Some of the locals told me that Siti is still no. 1 in Indonesia. :) Raja Melayu Restaurant is spacious with great selections of menus. Bila, Tuan rumah kata, pilih aja dong mana yang suka, kemain lagi sorang-sorang. hehehe.

Petai pun ade tau!! :)

Oman woke up so early that morning!! X sangka dia tuntut janji kat dadda nak mandi 'colam' (swimming pool). Lantokle kome. Hidung masing udohler berlari-lari. =D

I was again very nervous because on the management meeting that day, i would be the presenter for the output of my working group's discussion. Op coz dub dab dub dab sebab my General Manager was in that meeting. Alhamdulillah, i managed to get it done , so did the other working group and the meeting was ended fruitfully. Lebih seronok sebab meeting habis awal :)

After the meeting i quickly changed my pants to jeans and ran to get my boys who had been waiting for me in the lobby. Amir wanted to bring us to more places like the day before. Weeha!!

Before dinner, Amir brought us us to Toko Coklat. Again i fell in love with the building here in Bandung. Kenapala cantik sangat?? :) it's such a great and cozy place to hangouts with friends sambil menikmati air coklat dan coklat-coklat yang sedap. Mel, this place is just right for you. hehehe.

While Dadda and Uncle Amir borak-borak tentang EPL, me and momma having a good time with the phone camera. Say Cheese!!!! =D

Before we called it a day, we had the dinner at Nasi Kalong. Punyala ramai orang beratur. Kalau kat Malaysia ni ala-ala Nasi Beratur dekat Jalan Kapitan keling, penang la. It's opened from 7pm to 3am in the morning. Nasi Kalong ni special because the nasi is black in color. Lauk istimewanya is Kacang Buncis Bakar. Pergh!! terbaek bai!! :) Sorry i x sempat nak amik gambar nasi Kalong ni but i found a blog that about this specialty. Oh my, my tummy was so full that night.

..... Readers, it's been a very long entry already and i'm thinking of stop writing right now. The are a few more to share on our last day in Bandung and the tragedy that i told at the beginning of this entry. I promise I'll write about very the soonest possible okay.

TRAVEL WITH OMAN

OMG... Sorry peeps!!!!!
i've been very occupied lately. VERY THE!!!!
Konon-konon i would update my blog masa kat penang.. ghopenyer, kat penanglah i jadi org paling busy dalam dunia. Hihi.

Right now, i'm in Cyberjaya performing site survey (senyum). Kenapa senyum?? cause boleh ngelat sikit buat keje. Hihihi.. Upss! Mr H and Melin, sila buat-buat x baca ok . :)

I did mention before that i'm gonna share with you my experience travelling with Oman kan?.
OK, Let's do it now.. bismillahirrahmanirrahim :)

When i knew that we're going for a holiday in Bandung, i was pretty worried.
ok ke Oman travel? ape nak bawak ni? macam -macam...

So, with the help from BabyCenter of course, i made some earliest preparation.
There were first few things that i checked and confirmed.

1) Seat arrangement on the plane.
Most of the airlines, they do provide the bassinet on the plane. So during tickets reservation, you have to mention them that you're carrying an infant with you. You can secure the seat which is opposite the bassinet.
However, some airlines (domestic flight/low cost airlines) x provide. Like I went to Bandung with Air Asia, Oman was sit on my lap. Though Air Asia is operating free sitting basis, we paid extra to buy the seat that we preferred. Pegi dan balik. Main concerned was to breastfeed him, so both of us need the comfortableness of our bonding even 'on air' :)

2) The stay
Where you gonna stay ? Hotel? Condotel? Resort? Motel? Hostel? No matter where it is, it's good to properly plan. Actually, to survey if there, providing stove or not? Yeah.. nak masak untuk anak terunaku. :)
But what happened to me, I wasn't check this out, without asking, i assumed all hotel mmg takkan sediakan stove in their rooms. So, i brought along a small rice cooker. I was wrong. Aston's Condotel furnished their suits with complete kitchenette. Naahhhhhsss.. kan dah rugi space dalam baggage untuk sumbat hasil pershoppingan. :p

3) The Baby Mobility
Few weeks before we went to Bandung, i was browsing here and there, researching about lightweight stroller. Stroller Oman mmg dah ade. Tapi yang tu berat and besar. Airlines confirm x bagi hand-carry. Few friends recommended these;

Memang menggiurkan. But then, due to time constrain, and we still couldn't decide which one, finally we bought XXX (bukan model sebenar ;p) Lightweight Stroller from a friend. It was a gift from his friend and he's not using it. Kami pun grabbed. Hihi, the second day at Bandung, 2 screws were loosen. Luckily Oman wasn't ride it that time. Mujurla ada Pak Apip tolong tightenkan all the screws. Fuuhh (moral of the story, belilah barangan yang diyakini kekukuhannya ye. :P)

Selain stroller, we did bring along Oman's carrier. Hihi.. Oman bukan boleh duduk dalam stroller lama-lama. Lama sikit, dia boring. So, the 'carrier' is the savior. :) But.... bukan sepenuhnya :P, if dengan carrier pun dia sula boring ho, maka dadda dengan gagahnyerla pulak yang carried him.

4) Medication
Yes!!!! PCM, ubat batuk/selsema, vicks, mosquitoes bum. All those. Very important tau.

Well, i'm adding below some more tips;

Food
-Pack some of veges, fruits, rice (Takut-takut kat sana susah nak cari)
-Bring warmer bag to keep the food warm
-knife (hotel biasa x provide yer)

Clothing
- Weather check - raining, cold
- If 1 day trip - bring extra clothes/pants
- Sunny - simple clothing
- long sleeves/pants for night trip
- Bips
- Diapers

Extra Remarks
- Change your baby diaper before boarding
- During Take Off and landing - bfeed your baby, make him sleep. Alternatively, give your baby pacifier or lollipop.
-Baby products such as baby milk, sterilised water, baby juice, baby food in liquid, gel or paste form and wet wipes boleh dibawa bersama di atas plane.
-For more information regarding restriction on carriage of liquids on flight, kindly visit here

Baby cot and bath tub - x cukup tangan nak bawak. hihi. During our trip, oman slept between us on the bed. Mandi pulak dalam sink je. He enjoyed it so much! :)
