CAKKKK! =D

Owh it's been a couple of week since i last updated my blog.

Few things happen recently with ups and downs, but Alhamdulillah, everything's under control and smoothly manageable at times.

Arriving from Colombo, the next day, my beloved hubby had to be admitted to the hospital tdue to some injuries. We stayed in for 5 days. Hey! patient's food in DSH are not bad at all (yes me and Oman sibuk nak rasa makanan Dadda :p). I even can recommend to you some of the delicious food from the canteen like Nasi goreng kampung, Mee mamak, ayam goreng kunyit and Yong Tau Fu.

This morning my hubby uploaded a photo in FB.
Our son, Oman, wrote his 1st list of ABC by himself. yey!!

Can you recognized the alphabets?? hihi.

There are A, B, H, T, J, D, N, P, something like lollipop, and something like 'pencakar rumput'. Alahai cuteness!!

God knows how happy am I when i saw this!!!!
They are not the perfect A to Z but his attempts to write this makes me feel so proud of him.

Konsep sungguh tulisan anak bujang ku! :)

Peeps, apology for just a short entry here, as I've already promised myself to only take 5 (Yeah, after more than one week not coming to office, I'm now in the middle of replying some mails, housekeeping my inbox which is now having a hundred and thirty four unread items. Nice! :D)

But..I'm expecting more entries to come after this (Ya Allah ade yang kene tembak petir ni kang. hihi) as i really would like to share with all of you a little bit more of my stories in Colombo, also Ho Chi Minh City (went there during Chinese New Year. Best!) and of course my si jantung hati, Encik Oman. :) He will turn THREE next month!

MOMMAHOLIC ABROAD: COLOMBO, SRI LANKA (Cycle 1)

When a friend asked me if i would like to tag him along to visit one of the nearest Buddhist Temple in Colombo, i replied "why not".

There is no wrong for a Muslim to visit such other religion's place e.g church or temple, so does if a non-Muslim would like to see the mosque.

It is actually depends or our intention and purpose of the visit; as attending a funeral or a wedding, or maybe just to add the knowledge of other religion's activity. Unless we Muslim enter those places for the purpose of worship or receiving blessings or confessing our sins or beseeching favors from other than Allah, then we are wrong. You may want to read here and here.

I was told that to visit the temple, proper outfits are required. This requirement is almost the same if ones to visit the mosque. Shorts, skirts or swimming suits for sure not allowed. Oh yes, we must take out our shoes too when we entered the premises.

The name of the temple is Gangaramaya. This temple is not far from the famous Beira Lake, and was built more than 120 years ago. Other than this place is where the Buddhist perform their prayer, it is also functioning to serve the hall for monks, a museum, a library, a residential hall, educational halls and an alms hall.

So yesterday after the meeting ended, Chau Tong, Rania and I made our way to The Gangaramaya. Let's check some photos ok.

He is Podihamuduruwo. He's the one who lead and run the temple affairs. The moment he saw me, he said, "young lady, in Sri Lanka, we have many religions, we have Muslim, we have Buddhist, We have Hindu, We also have Christian. But all of us stay in one country, we are one. If you don't mind, here is my respect to you". Humble and friendly man he is.

It makes me remind of my beloved county. Malaysia do have many religions too and as a Muslim, to show my respect to other religions is one of the duties a Muslim must perform.

I agree with Imamreza.net, It is not good to put down other religions, but instead we should convince others to understand Islam. Remember, we should never insult other religions, since they then might turn around and insult us.

I have been to visit few Church in Mexico and this temple in Sri Lanka. All i can say that these people even from other religions, they really welcomed me very well. I feel safe and little bit help me to understand other culture and believe. To all my non-Muslim friends and even my Muslim friends, i plan to proudly share one day an entry on the mosque, the place for Muslim activities, perhaps i can start with the mosque in my own country, Malaysia. Been there many times but i didn't take any photos. I will, Insya Allah.

ZUMBA.FITNESS : I LOIKE!!

Salam and Hello Peeps! :)

Just a quick one here. I'm on leave today and in the middle of doing an exercise with Encik Oman. (Take 15 sebab Encik Oman nak makan Olo :P)

Initially i planned to go to the gym but right after 'bye-bye'd my hubby off to work, my Oman pun woke up from his sleep. Confirm gagal! :P

Therefore, tektik terpaksa ditukarkan. I invited Oman to join me to do some Aerobics just at home. When Oman saw me wearing the T-shirt-yang-ramai-abang-tengteneng-tu, he wanted to wear exactly the same, cause he knows we have two pieces in the closet. "Ala momma, nanti kita tunjukla gambar kat Dadda".

Kemain lagi pujuk tau!

Tapi, baju tu besar kot!! Terpaksala momma customized kan guna baby pin. Hihi.

Cakap je nak hantar gambar kat Dadda.
Lepas 34 kali snaps baru dapat gamba dia. Hish! :p

Ok now, i would like to share something with all of you. I found a video of interesting moves from Youtube called Zumba.

Memang peluh-peluh sungguh. Memang sakit tangan! haha. Paling best bila tengok Oman pun beria-ria right and left, counting 1 to 10, pastu kan dumbbells dia are the kotak CD of 'The Fellowship of The Ring'. Ahaks!

Oman and I xdela boleh buat sehebat those peeps in the video. Kejap kang silap steps, kejap kang Oman salah count.. one, two, seven.. hahahah.. Kejap kang i berlaga dengan Oman. Bibik boleh menjadi saksi betapa lawak nyer we all ikut video ni. =D

Ok peeps, we would like to proceed the second round now. Goyang-goyang for another 15 minutes!! !! =D

TWENTY 12

On 1.1.2012

The first day of Twenty 12 was well spent in Sitiawan, my hometown. This time, we went bowling at ARL Powerbowl Lumut. The contestants were abah and mama, Armi, Oman and I, Kak Lang, BangChik and Adik.

Tak padan dengan jari jemari dia yang kecil, and bola yang berat tu, Sibuk jugak dia nak main sama. I let Oman to throw the first bowl and me second. Sesuailah Oman dengan momma sepasukan sebab dua-dua asyik masuk longkang. =P

Both of them fought for the highest score.

Both of them won the forth place out of 6.
Hey not bad!! :p

Both of them.. sorang terror, sorang ke laut. :P

Nothing else much was done on the New Year but to be with our loved ones, that matter most! :)

During Maghrib prayer, I got the chance to snap some photos (I was ahem ahem, excuse me) of Oman performing Salat together with our other family members.

It's hilarious to see this Little Man, dalam dia elok ikut bersolat kejap ke depan, kejap pusinglah, kejap tried to follow his TukBah recited Al-Fatihah, kejap dia nyanyi lagu Harimau Malaya siap goyang-goyang ponggong :P,

but then at the same time i realize..

..the path that Oman will follow, will take as example, is the path that he sees and observes everyday in front of his eyes. It's his parents. Until the time when Oman can already make his own decision, knows what's best for life, even after that, the responsibility to teach, to educate, to support, to motivate, to persuade, to convince, to show love, are for the most part falls on his Dadda and Momma, My husband and I.

and that's the parents we should be and keep it be, Insya Allah. Amin. :)

Eh! Eh! perasan tak yang blog ni dah berubah wajah? Actually i memang saaayang sangat-sangat my old template, but then I think somehow at somewhere i should try a new one. So i choose this dengan harapan this blog will look smarter, more organize and pleasant like i what i want myself to be. You guys are most welcome to comment about this new look!! :)

Apart from that, i would like to start a healthy life. Food and exercise. Almaklumla badan dah makin tua, kena jaga kan? I'm glad that my husband is being so supportive. Actually since last 2 weeks ago, we have started the exercise routine at 6am in the morning. I do aerobic lead by ms Youtube and he 's doing some cardio & abs (sambil menjeling-jeling tengok i Aerobic. haip! :p)

Cikgu Aerobic saya. Hari-hari tukar cikgu. :)

Apa lagi ek? Oh yess!!! the thing that i really need to work on, financial. To be honest, i didn't do a lot of saving past years. With the current income - expenses - commitment, i need to find ways to grow my savings. Side income sounds good rite? Any suggestion? :)

Last but not least, my career. Loving my job and i really need to put my best of it WITHOUT leaving my responsibility as a wife and mother, behind. Semoga diri ini diberikan kekuatan especially bila i have to be far from my family. Amin. Tak lama dah tau. I'm going to start my first overseas assignment for 2012 very the soon.

Eh eh eh.. Punyalah banyak entry untuk Kuching ni rupanya! I promise this gonna the final part :p

TOP SPOT. The famous seafood food court in Kuching that should not be missed. Sudahla terbaek food dia, consider murah pulak tu!!!!

Did you know that we celebrated Eid Al-Adha in Kuching?? Beraya di perantauan kot! hihi. Planned earlier by Dr. May, we were all in Fuchsia Raya outfit. The color sangat menyerlah bikin orang-orang Kuching tercengang tengok we all. :p

We walked to the Waterfront. Dekat je dengan hotel.

Sungguh meriah kami! :)

Back to the hotel after sessi melaram, the parents fulfilled the children dreams to visit the swimming pool.

Bila dah mandi langsung tanak keluar. Pulak dah!!

We checked out the hotel at 1.00pm. Since our flight back to KL departed later in the evening, so, we decided to kill the time by having lunch at Khatulistiwa Restaurant just next to Sungai Sarawak, and then to cross the waterfront for Kek Lapis Sarawak hunting.

At the end of our lunch, suddenly the rain dropped heavily. At that time, it's impossible for us to take the boat to cross the river as per planned. Nak sangat rasa naik boat, So we decided to wait for a while hoping for a better weather.

After almost two hours waiting, hujan dah tak berapa nak lebat tapi tak jugak berhenti. Last last we all gamble je nak redah the hujan. It was quite a tough decision to make cause there were kids involved. Demam jugak Oman and Iman nanti.

We tried to think the best way to cover the children from the rain. Umbrella?? Kebetulan there's 7 Eleven next to Khatulistiwa and we found in there a better solution; Baju hujan plastic.

Comei sungguh Oman pakai plastic ni. hihi.

Tiba masa nak naik boat, i suddenly have a little panic attack.

Dengan dukung Oman lagi, dengan nak melangkah between the jeti ke dalam boat, dengan hujan and angin tiup agak kuat, dengan boat goyang-goyang, dengan i risau tengok Pakcik bawak boat tu macam kurus jer... :P

Paling i risau.. dengan takde safety jacket...

Frankly.. i takut!! Macam-macam ayat i baca.

Tapi, Oman excited kot masa naik boat tu. Dia relax je. So, Momma kenala up kan kemachoan sikit. :P

May pun cool aje.
Kalau tengok muka i, Memang muka tengah nervous. :P

Alhamdulillah, the return journey on boat accross the Sg Sarawak went well. Pakcik- Pakcik yang bawak boat tu semuanya gagah perkasa lagi pro. (but i still think it's better if all penumpang dibekalkan safety jacket. Tul tak?). We managed to grab some Kek Lapis to bring back home from Mira Cake House. Maybe because Raya Haji, banyak kedai lain tutup. But that's good enough. :)

Masa pilih-pilih kek lapis, Oman dah letih to the max langsung ZzzzZZzzzz. :)

Overall, we had a splendid short vacation in Kuching. We found a great taxi driver (highly recommended), we visited interesting places, a nice stay at Ariva and yummy seafood!!

Most importantly, these two boys, Oman and Iman, have developed a great friendship in Kuching macam their parents.

We still are :)

Yes, if there's a chance, we would love to come back to Kuching for another getaway. One day. Amin.

OMAN AND IMAN DI SARAWAK - Part 2

We reached Sarawak Cultural Village at about 3 in the afternoon with Mee kolok and laksa Sarawak selamat in the tummy. :p

The moment we entered this place, oh wow, it's so amazing! The place beautifully occupied with green landscape. Tempat ni betul-betul terletak di kaki Gunung Santubung.

"Puteri Santubung, Puteri Sejinjang, menjaga gunung Negeri Sarawak..."

In SCV, you'll be given a passport at the entrance and this passport is for you to get all the seven stamps from the seven House sebagai kenang-kenangan.

We managed to visit all the seven houses just right before the Cultural show started at 4.00pm. Readers, If you come here to SCV, please do not skip this cultural show of Sarawak's ethnic groups and their cultures. It was all awesome!! :)

Spending the whole afternoon in Sarawak Cultural Village gave us so much sweet memories and joy.

OMAN AND IMAN DI SARAWAK - Part 1

This is a very backdated entry. (Berzaman nyer lah Nuurill oiiiiiii)

Remember my 2010 entry about visiting Penang? this time, with the same group but smaller no. of families, we went to visit Kuching.

Oman and Iman

We departed via AirAsia on 4th November 2011 afternoon. There was a little bit of drama at the airport. When the final call announcement were made, we were still in the looong queue to check-in our baggage. Pitam sekejap. After security checking, we sprinted to the gate and luckily the flight still there waiting for a few more last passengers. Phew! :)

Oman and Iman were the most excited two! Both of them were keened to be on the airplane but they were also the first two who dozed off after the flight took off. Penat berlari kot. hihi.

In 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.... ZzzzzZzzz

It was raining cats and dogs when we reached Ariva gateway. Since the day had turned dark, we decided to quickly refresh and walk out for the first glance of Kuching. Just a few steps from our hotel, there's a new shopping mall, Hills, attached to The Pullman. Not so long after that, we walked further down to Jalan Padungan and had the dinner at Planet sambal, a very nice setting restaurant.

The next day, we spent it by visiting few interesting places in Kuching. Right after breakfast, En. Sarip, our taxi man, drove us to see Orang Utan at Semenggoh Wild Life Center.

Semenggoh Wild Life Center open as early as 8.00 am. We reached there at 8.45 am as we did not want to miss to see the first Orang Utan feeding session of the day, at 9.00am.

Ramai tau pelancong!

Here are a few instructions by the park's warden to us;

. Do not Litter
. Do not smoking. Kalau Orang Utan terjumpa puntung rokok kat mana-mana, dia akan kutip and smoking. Bahaya!
. Keep quite in the jungle. Orang Utan pernah baling kayu dekat sorang pelancong yang kecoh gila. Hamik ko!

Looking at other tourists that day, Dr.May and I laughed at our own-selves attire. Mana taknya, orang lain elok dengan baju for outdoor activity, kitorang??? Macam nak gi.. KAY ELL Si Si yo! :p

Anugerah pelancong paling malatop di dalam hutan ialah... :P

We thought, the distance from the center to the feeding place idokle jauh bebenor. Tertipu ghupeynyer. Mujurler teman idok makey wedges. Maunya putuih teman ghase. Hehe.

Ni la 'orang' tu. :)

There were actually 3 of them eating bananas. The husband, the wife and the kid (i actually checked this sentence twice supaya tak tersilap type the last word to 'Kidd'. Ngeh2!)

We dispersed after half an hour watching the Orang Utans.

From Orang Utan, Pak Sarip brought us to see the Crocodile. Located on the same main street, there's a place named Jong's Crocodile Farm.

'Bujang Senang', katanya. Ye ke?

All the buaya here can do acrobatic skill. They really do!!
Wait i'll show you later. :)

From outside, Jong's looking like a small farm but once we got in.. Mak datuk!!! dari telur buaya sampai moyang buaya ada, you know. It's really worth to pay a visit here. With RM16(adult) and RM8(child) entrance fees, what can be seen here truly a satisfaction. Not only we met with buaya, but we also met with some monkeys, squirrels, peacock, arapaima fish and beruang :)

At 11 am, we quickly brought ourselves to the place where the "Jumping Crocodile Feeding Show" to be presented.

The show went like half an hour and all of us enjoyed it so much. 30 minutes tu jugaklah i kene dukung Oman sebab dia xmo berdiri sendiri. Tahniah! :)

After the Crocodile Feeding show, we saw all other visitors assembled at a pond, to watch Arapaima feeding activity. By the time we joined them, the show have finished, i think. Why were we late? because my anak bujang sibuk nak main baling-baling ranting kat dalam kolam lain. haha.

Next, the plan was to visit The Sarawak Culture Village but before that we requested Pak Sarip to bring us to any restaurant that he knows have many choices of food for lunch. we had Mee Kolok and Laksa Sarawak. :)

WED BLUES..

It feels just like yesterday I delivered Oman. His first cry, first yawn, first burp, first hiccup, first fart, first poop smell :p still fresh in my mind.

OK today is not Oman's Birthday.

Thank you to the technology enhancement that nowadays we're able to capture past moments via mobile camera or video. Rasa-rasa nak record je, take out the phone and snap. We can play it anywhere, whenever we feel to look at it again.

This morning, i was browsing to my phone video album and found a clip of Oman, i think it was recorded when he was 1 year plus.

That time, Oman was in the midst of acknowledging shape like circle, triangle, square. I smiled widely when i look at it.

PERUT

Dulu, masa tengah mengandungkan Oman, adela dua tiga orang cakap cenggini kat I;

"abisla, dah jadi mak nanti, sure naik badan".

That time, i senyum jer. I siap dengan cool nya berkata;

"Insya Allah, i will take care of my figure. I akan bersungguh-sungguh pastikan yang i'll get back my old figure".

MUahahahahahaha!!

Tidak syak lagi, i have gained A LOT of weight after gave birth to Oman.
Dalam 10 kg kot!! *Pengsan!!*

Memang ramai yang perasan, especially my family members. Encik Armi lagi la kan!! :P

I still put hope that i will get back my old figure walaupun old figure i dulu takdela slim sangat pun. Tapi At least bawah 60kg la.

Hihi.

Akan tetapi.. perkara yang paling merisaukan I adalah keadaan PERUT yang semakin lama semakin.... Dah sedut nafas habis-habisan pun belum tentu flat. Ya Rabbi!!

So, I sekarang nak fokus bahagian perut dulu.

Dulu, when i was a sports girl, *cough* rajinla buat sit-up tetiap malam. Siap ade trainer kat gym lagi.

Mampu ke i nak buat semua tu semula ek?

Selain bersenam, i ada rasa macam nak cuba petua tradisional jugak.

An aunty from Kelantan told me that kalau nak bagi perut cepat kempis, amik telur mentah and campur kan dengan serbuk lada hitam. Gaul and sapu atas perut. Pastu ikat perut atau pakai bengkung. Amalkan tetiap malam, Insya Allah perut cepat kempis.

Sapa pernah cuba angkat tangan ?!!! :)

Eh, you ols kalau ada petua lain, share lah kat sini k. Boleh kita sama-sama amil manfaat. Kalau ada success story laaaaaaaaaaaaaagi i suka kalau u all share!! Pleaseeeeeee....

THE BDA/MIFW 2011 GALA SHOWCASE (Part 2)

As i mentioned before, the main reason of my excitation to this show was to give my full support to a friend of mine, NELISSA HILMAN. Allow me to give a piece of introduction to this beautiful young designer;

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Nelissa Hilman graduated in Chemical Engineering before attending the Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing in Florence, Italy where she studied shoe-making. While she has always wanted to study design, like many parents, thought practically should come first. Even thought it seemed like a constraint at the time, she is grateful that her background in engineering has turned out to be instrumental in her approach to design. She believes that design is in everything we make, but it's also between those things - it's a mix of craft, science, storytelling and philosophy.

She is passionate about her role as the CEO (or rather Chief Energy Officer) for Nelissa Hilman Fine Shoes as she is working towards her debut women footwear collection and strives to make her brand appealing and unique, finding the balance between art and science.

"I love what i do. I love the craft of shoe-making. I want to celebrate its traditions at the same time as i push forward the boundaries"

Nelissa Hilman fine shoes is created for sophisticated adults who are not drawn to extremes, but rather an urge to refine classic silhouettes to perfection.

I am sure once your read her website; www.nelissahilman.com, you will be blown away by her journey in shoe-making and falling in love with her productions. Launching in the market, i dream to get one! :)

TO A FASHION SHOW

I am invited to a fashion show by BDA/ MIFW 2011!!

Yes, I'm super excited!! :)
Selama ni, i only heard their names, adore their designs in the magazine, but tonight, is difference!! (mana tau dapat bertentang mata kan..paling best dapat lihat sendiri their latest collections..awww..)

The main reason of this excitation is, one of my friend, Nelissa Hilman is going to debut her first runway collaboration / collection. I am so proud of her!! Her passion and storyline in shoe-making is really really inspiring. I believe Nelissa Hilman Fine Shoes will have a bright future locally and internationally. Amin! :)

But..

At the same time, I feel bit worried on what i'm gonna wear for this show. So far, i only attended something like this once. It was last year for MBMJ 1oth years anniversary party.

Well, i found 10 top useful tips for what to wear to a fashion show. You need to read them all sebab memang best. Lawak pun yer!! :) I adopt it from here.

The writer says;

Keep it casual. You’re not trying to compete with the ladies up on the runway, so don’t feel you have to wear an outfit worthy of a thousand camera flashes.

Get thee a tailor. Your best kept secret for looking like a million bucks should be a tailor who knows your figure and your wardrobe. Don’t just grab something off the rack and assume it will look amazing. Make sure there aren’t weird pocket bulges or sleeves that are too long before you get to the show.

Save your money. Unless you are a super celebrity with an eight figure salary, there is no reason you should drop an entire month’s rent on a new outfit for the show. Sure – buy a beautiful investment piece that stands out and is re-wearable. But don’t go overboard on designer wear just for this one show.

“I wear my sunglasses…” Put on your best diva pout and wear your big ol’ sunglasses while you’re cabbing it to the show. But…you are not of such elite status that those shades should stay on your face during the duration of the event. Pull them off, let those peepers see everything and remember that those who are trying to stay incognito are just cheating themselves anyway…those fashion shows are always dim as it is!

These shoes were made for sitting. Most of the time, I’m all for functional over fabulous. But honey this is no time for ballet flats. Put those comfy shoes away and realize this is one of the only times your most decadent, beautiful shoes will have a reason to exist besides being beautiful in your closet.

Your best accessory. If you’re new to the fashion scene, then you probably won’t have gobs of people to commiserate with and chat up during the dull points of the show. Bring an equally fabulous and fashionable friend who you can whisper to when a model almost falls down or a particularly heinous creation passes your eye. I bring my Kidd tonight. Hehe.

It’s in the bag. Remember when I said don’t go designer? I didn’t mean your handbag. This is one area where you shouldn’t skimp out with a pleather replica of a popular design. Buy (or borrow) the real thing and wear it with pride.
Basic black is oh so boring. Don’t cheat yourself and fall back on a basic black cocktail dress. All the uber fashionistas around you will see right through this coy “conservative” play. A pop of color never hurt anyone – and you will certainly appreciate the extra boost in confidence once you’re surrounded by the chic elite.

I said sophisticated, not slutty. Put the girls away, pull down that skirt and have some decency. This is not the time to leave all the goods oLinkn the table…you want to exude elegance, not ‘easy’. Anything that might be appropriate for a frat party is not okay for a fashion show.

and the most best part is.... Who are you again? Remember…you’re you. Most people are going to be so focused on snagging a celebrity sighting or their own outfit that they aren’t going to even notice what you’re wearing. Stay calm, have confidence and enjoy yourself instead of worrying so much about stray threads and whether or not your shoes are from last year’s collection.

When i read this, i smiled. It's so true, so why i need to worry much?? ( padahal .. Mel je yang tahu).. hahahaha..

Today is the most special day for my mother in law. It's her birthday. We called and sang to her The Happy Birthday Song at 12.10am followed by Oman gave his "I beliu (I love you), Nanny" to her as the birthday present.

My mother in law, she is among the kindest person i ever met. She has a very soft heart. She's like an angel to her kids. Never and ever she raised her voice even though We sometimes contribute to the additional numbers on her 'bp reading'. :P

We love to tease her also. Nobody would believe when she said; "Mama garang ok kat sekolah". We all went like, "uuuu.. takutnya".. She was then gave her manja slaps to us. :)

Mama, I pray everyday that you will always be in a good health and wealth fi Dunya wa Akhirah. You're the best example on how i should be when i become a mother in law later.

Amin.

On the other hand.....

Today marked the saddest day for my bibik, who just lost her beloved mother in law this morning. I was driving to office when i received an sms from my hubby who was still at home conveying the sad news.

"Daripada ALLAH dia datang(segala sesuatu ), kepada ALLAH dia akan kembali".

Bibik cried a lot.

She told me that she's gonna be alright but i think she really needed someone to talk to, so i returned back home. Bibik cried again when she saw me at the gate.

Bibik told me a lot about her mother in law. How there were very closed as she was the one who takes care of bibik's children since they were babies. She's 80 years old without any serious illness or health problem. Nobody expected that this morning she breathed her last breath.

Allah itu Maha Mengetahui.

I know Bibik miss her family so much especially at this condition. Reminiscing her memories with her family, Bibik smiled a bit when she told me, "Sewaktu raya, anak bibik sempat belikan batik yang mahal untuk neneknya guna duit gaji bibik Bu".

Ahhh sebak....

Keadaan Bibik buat I insaf and more bersyukur. Teringat when arwak Nenek passed away last year when we were in Singapore, kami beruntung sebab masih punya duit untuk balik terus memberi penghormatan terakhir to Nenek. Masih sempat menguruskan segala persiapan pengkebumian Nenek. Tapi Bibik.....

"Tapi Buk, Bibik rasa Syukur sebab sepanjang Bibik kerja dengan ibuk, udah 3 kali Bibik ngirimin uwang ke kampung", sambung Bibik lagi.

Alhamdulillah.

Bibik, Semoga Allah terus memberi kekuatan untuk Bibik selagi terpaksa berjauhan dengan keluarga demi mencari rezeki. Semoga roh arwah ibu mertua bibik dicucuri rahmat.

5 DAYS TRAVERSING HONG KONG - FULL DAY TOUR, FREE & EASY

That morning, we had the breakfast at a famous Dim Sum Restaurant before we proceed to visit The Repulse Bay.

Located on the south of Hong Kong Island, Repulse Bay is one of the most magnificent residential areas in Hong Kong. This beautiful bay was turned into a beach resort in the beginning of the last century. In Repulse Bay, there is no Chinese style architecture. Most of the buildings are built in the western style. This area has some of the most expensive property in Hong Kong.

Quoted from China Odyssey Tours; Repulse Bay is similar to Australia's Gold Coast. It is surrounded with luxurious houses, romantic tea houses, first class restaurants, and beautiful people. Along the coast, there is quiet path, which on the weekends is home to the local Flea Market. Repulse Bay is a wonderful way to take a vacation within a vacation. It is easy to get to and hard to leave. In the day visitors can enjoy the beach and sea and in the evening they can watch the magnificent sunset before going shopping at name brand boutiques and eating at first class restaurants.

Confirmla kan tak mampu nak duduk kat sini. Harga rumah mak datuk mahal sungguh!! Million Billion gitu! Antaranya, rumah no. 99 which belongs to Pelakon yang tak asing lagi, Jackie Chan.

When we reached here, pantai dia sunyi damai lagi. I guessed semua orang still dibuai mimpi. Kitorang jer yang segar berjimba-jimba dekat sini. (Tak dapatla nak tengok abang berbadan sasa atau akaq memakai bikini melepak sunbathing di tepi pantai. Eh ade ke? :P)

Never expect that Oman could pose like that. :P

If i pakai inner purple lagi match dengan suasana kan?. :p

Kejap je Jiba dah ngantuk. Manja ngan Nanny tau dia. :)

You all ingat tak cerita Oman takut laut? Cam gitu jugakla Oman masa ni. He was not really happy. Nak main-main tepi pantai memang kitorang kene lecture la dengan dia. hihi.

Muka sedih. Heeee.

Next, we went to visit Aberdeen Fishing Village. According to our tour guide, inilah the only penempatan nelayan yang masih wujud di HK. Aberdeen is famous for its floating village and giant seafood restaurants. Kat sini, associated with the fishing industry, many of the 'Tanka' people, they still live on the water.

From the jetty, here the visitors will be given the option to ride the boat to the village. We didn't take that option sebab ade budak-budak. Tambahan pulak Jiba was sleeping. So, we chose to just wait for the rest at the jetty.

Comei Cik adik ni!! :)

The next pit-stop was shopping! Tapi anak-anak tak berapa excited sebab shopping Jewellery & Medicine. Hahahaha. Makanya, only mama and abah yang turun dari bas to visit the shops. We all only stayed in the bus waiting for them.
Note 5: Cuba teka pekerjaan apakah yang memperoleh pendapatan paling lumayan di HK? (1) Tukang telek (2) Celebrity. In China and HK, diorang lagi percaya tukang telek dari doktor tau.

After the morning activities, the bus sent us back to the hotel for lunch. We had seafood Nasi Goreng at the Restaurant which located just in front of the hotel. We were then given about 3 hours free and easy activities before our next visit to Victoria Peak.

3 hours tu xlama sangat sebenarnya. We all fulfilled it with jalan-jalan dekat area Kow Loon. Best you all!!! Dekat area ni, baaaaaaaaanyak boutique baju and kasut. Electronics shops pun banyak.

Kitorang berpecah ikut group. Group 1 terdiri dari Mama, Ima and I. Yang lain termasuk Jiba and Oman masuk Group 2. Kat HK memang para suami sangat-sangat understanding and sporting. They offered to babysit the kids all the time. Agaknya they worried with the ladies yang excited sangat masuk kedai itu ini sampai terlupa anak. eheh. :P

Note 6: Some cameras, film cameras and lenses are woth to buy in Hong Kong. Murah beb!!! :)

At 5.30pm, there was a van came and picked us up at the hotel to bring for night Tour at The Victoria Peak.

Memang atas puncak bukit sungguh this place. When we climbed up the road, we met with luxurious house kiri and kanan bukit. Pun million billion macam tu rege nya. Kaya betul diorang ni tau! :p

There's a quite shopping mall named The Peak Galleria. Shopping mall ni adjoin with another mall named The Peak Tower. Hebak design dia!

Among the attractions dekat The Peak ni, salah satunya is Madam Tussaud, the place where the tourist would like to meet with Hollywood and HK celebrity wax figures like Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Robert Pattinson dan raaaaaaaaaamai lagi. Not only celebrities, you gotta meet with President Obama, President Bush, Saddam Hussein. Mr Albert Einstein and sportsmen terkenal pun ada! :)

Uish.. sikit lagi nak sama. :)

Eh.. 'abah' i pun ada la. :)

In my first entry of HK, i did post a photo of how amazing and fascinating HK at night. We witnessed it at the The Victoria Peak Lookout Point. Subhanallah memang cantik sangat view from the top.

We closed that day with having Roti Nan for dinner at one of the Indian restaurant near Kowloon. We all siap reqquest lagu Kuch Kuch Hota Hai lagi. :)

The next two days, we had no longer went to visit any tourist place in HK. We dedicated those days for shopping. Ngeh Ngeh.

Pagi tu Jiba datang bilik kejut Abam Oman. Jiba belek-belek kaki Abam Oman yang bertampal macam sakit sangat tu ha. Padahal dia tampal tu sebab nak sama dengan Dadda. :P

After breakfast, we walked to this SUPER HUGE shopping complex in HK, The harbour City. This shopping complex memang besar sangat-sangat, dan it has everything in it!! Sebab tu we all spent 2 days here. Best wo!!

Otw to The Harbour City from the hotel, we met with this Mosque. Masa ni rasa macam pergi negara Islam sebab at the mosque compound, memang ramai sangat Muslim community tengah beraktiviti. Alhamdulillah. :)

You all, ZARA kan memang murah tau dekat Hong Kong compared to KL. I jadi rambang mata. baju budak-budak pun banyak pilihan. Oman siap dapat Boots lagi.

Personally, I rasa memang best shopping kat HK especially time sales. Naik gilerr tengok kasut and baju-baju. With various designs, baaanyak kedai2, and good deal of prices, berbaloi-baloi!!!

That's the end of the story of my family trip to Hong Kong. It was really fun and enjoyable. Lagi-lagi bila semua members of the family turut serta. Hip Hip Hoorey! :)

Dia gini, this weekend we'll be going to a 3 days 2 nights trip to Kuching Sarawak. Alhamdulillah, flight tickets and accommodation semuanya dah in order.

Tapi.. we are still in the process of figuring out the best options for the remaining matters, such as;

Transporation for 4 adults and 2 toddlers.

Should we better naik taxi, atau pun sewa kereta. If let say sewa kereta is the best, anybody knows how much per-day car rental in Kuching? Kalau ada contact, lagi i suka. Ngeeeeee.

Tempat-tempat menarik wajib pergi untuk 1 day trip.

We'll reach Kuching on Friday evening. So, rasanya petang tu sampai-sampai we can spend it by jalan-jalan at Bandar Kuching and having our dinner there.

Kalau dah sampai Sarawak, maka wajiblah membeli Ikan Terubuk perkasam and Kek Lapis, ye dak? We plan to accomplish this On Sunday after Solat Sunat Aidil Adha and before our flight back petang tu. Persoalannya, bukakke kedai-kedai tu time Raya Haji? Any suggestion kat mana boleh dapat kedua nya ini yang terbaik dengan harga yang berpatutan? :)

Jadiknya, hari Sabtu adalah hari di mana sehari suntuk kami plan nak pergi tempat-tempat menarik kat Kuching. Apa yang you all recommend ek? Pantai kah? Muzium kah? Appreciate your kind suggestion. Thank you.

So far, memang ramai yang suggest pergi dekat Rooftop Seafood heaven. Memang we all dah cop nak makan kat situ on Saturday night. Bagaimana pula dengan breakfast (walaupun breakfast provided by the hotel), lunch, cofee time, kedai mak cik jual goreng pisang terbaikke, gerai ABC bawah pokok ke? kot kot adalah kan. hihi.

Kadang-kadang you all, yang kecik, yang tak famous, yang kedai dia ala-ala tu lah yang laaagi sedap tau! Tu yang kalau sapa-sapa tau, do lemme know ya. Really appreciate it!! :)

So far itu ajelah kot yang i nak tau. We all pun pergi with very limited time. Sebab itu kene plan the activities properly and bijakly. :)

On last 2nd to 6th of Syawal this year, we spent them by visiting Hong Kong, a city that filled with the exotic and the exciting.

The Departure

Everything had been planned few months before the trip. Kelepuk kelepak kelepuk kelepak, waktu yang dinanti telah tiba. We were departed to HK via Air Asia with these following details;

Date : 31 August – 4 September 2011
No of person : 7 adult, 1 child and 1 infant
Package : 5 Day Traversing Hong Kong by Air Asia
Hotel : Kimberly Hotel, Hongkong
Agent: TraverseAsia Sdn Bhd

Note 1: BM, Formula or baby food are allowed to be on board. They are allowed in quantities greater than three ounces, and don't need to be packed in the zip-top bag. You may need to declare these items for inspection at the security checkpoint.

Masa i lalu security checkpoint, i did show to the officer what were in Oman's diaper bag. Tenang sikit hati. Alhamdulillah, memang everything such his formula, air dalam termos, air tak dalam termos pun lepas. Smile!

We had a very smooth departure (except masa dekat LCCT i terlejepuk jatuh macam nangka depan orang ramai. Sudahla tak mau ku cerita lagi :p). Encik Oman masuk-masuk 'EROPLEN MERAH' je terus nak terlelap. Aman tenteram kehidupan sewaktu take off. Eheh.

Dalam kiraan 10, Oman sudah pun ke La La Land. :)

Dia ni pemalu orangnya... konon. :p

Oman woke up from his deep sleep after 2.5 hours flying. He was then enjoyed the In-flight meals, Chicken Satay which had been pre-booked upon our ticket confirmation. To let him enjoy the remaining hours before we reached the destination, I fulfilled his request to fold as many as i could the simple origami boats by using....

Angpau Raya!

Ampunkanlah anak bujang i ni, kot kot antara angpau terbabit adalah yang u ols bagi kat dia. Heh. :)

We safely landed Hong Kong International Airport at 8.35 pm after 3hrs 50mins flying. It's really a huge airport consists of Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Skypier.

Hallamak i dah lupa which Terminal AK 078 was landed at, but yang pasti dalam that Terminal, we were required to take the Automated People Mover (APM) atau definisinya driverless electric train system, to be transported between the terminals.

Inilah pasangan anak2 yang telah berkahwin. The two in the middle are my biras and my sil.

As soon as we settled with the Immigration, Baggage Reclaim and Custom process, we were then met and greeted by the travel agency representative at the arriving hall. By airport coach, we were transferred to the Kimberly Hotel for check-in.

At the hotel, there were three rooms assigned for our family members. The first one for mama and abah, The second one for Armi, Oman and I, and the last one for Irma, her husband, Jiba and adik. Eh?? Adik sekali satu bilik dengan diorang? Aah, Irma rela berkorban sebab dia pe-od. *wink*

Before we went to bed, Armi, Ima, Afie and Adik went for a mini sightseeing around the hotel and also to find some water bottles and tidbits from the nearest convenience store.

Note 2:
Most hotels in HK don't compliment mineral water bottles. To purchase, the one in the convenience store is much cheaper from what the hotel's charged you.

Our tactics was to buy only few water bottles from 7e, then we boiled much much water everyday to top-up when they're finished. Lagi satu kegunaan bottle itu adalah untuk bekalan toilet2 sepanjang di HK. Almakelumla kat dalam sana mana ade water supply. :)

Disneyland

After having a nice breakfast provided by the hotel, at the hotel entrance, we waited for the bus that would take us to our first tourist destination in Hong Kong, iaitu Disneyland!!

"Yey!!", kata Oman. Actually what he most excited at, was to ride the bus. Kagum ya amat engko!!!

Banyak bas melepak kat area hotel. Oman suka. :)

On the way to Disneyland, Oman was amused by many buses on the road. Ade merah, ade biru, ade hijau, ade pink. Memang bas lah yang menjadi pujaan hati dia kat Hong Kong. :)

The journey from the hotel to Disneyland took approximately 40 minutes driving. Awal kot kitorang sampai. 10.30 am, just nice dengan opening hour Disneyland.

Parking space pun masih banyak kosong.

A little information about Disneyland Hong Kong, it consists of 4 main parks which are;

1. Main Street, USA
2. FantasyLand
3. AdventureLand
4. TomorrowLand

In the Main street, U.S.A, there are Art of Animation, Animation Academy, Main street vehicles, Disneyland Rail Road and City Hall as it places of attraction. There is also musical entertainment on this street. Macam ala-ala pancaragam gitu. Buildings kat sini pulak oh sungguhla cantik-cantik kalau nak bergambar. Kids, you may also wanna meet with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip&Dale on this street! :)

Yang old-fashioned vehicle ni bas juga tau Oman. 10km/h.

Nice 20th Century American town design shops at the Main Street.

Moving on, we entered the girls' heaven (boys pun kot), FantasyLand.

The attractions here are Sleeping Beauty Castle, Sword in the stone, Snow White Grotto, The Many adventures of Winnie The Pooh, Cinderella Carousel, Fantasy Garden, FantasyLand Train Station, Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Mickey Philharmagic (3D), It's a small World, Mad Hatter Tea Cup and The Golden Mickey Theater. As for the cartoon character, you might meet with Tinker Bell, Sleeping Bauty Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Woody, Jessie and Winnie The Pooh.

Masa ni Oman okay, tapi rupanya bila dah masuk dalam tu, dia takut gelap (eh!. macam Momma dia).
Terus spoil mood dia sepanjang hari. Alerrrrrr.

After the 3D show finished, we both sit on that bench while watching Ima, Afie and Jiba yang tengah rode Dumbo The Flying Elephant. Oman langsung tak nak naik sebab seriau. Momma Dadda pun ikut sama dia tak bagi naik. Haiya :)

But fortunately after a little pujukan dan penipuan *gelak jahat*, we managed to 'force' him to ride Mad Hatter Tea Cup.

Sungguhpun demikian, tak lama lepas tu dia tetap nak eksen;

"Tadi kan, Oman terror naik cup pusing-pusing Tu!!".

Padahal drama dia sebelum naik tu ??? :P

It's already the lunch time for the kids. Jiba to have her baby food while Oman to have telur rebus dua bijik.

Nanny memang rajin :)

Note 3:
Harapan untuk mencari makanan HALAL di sini memangla tipis ya amat. Oleh itu, sila plan elok-elok bekalan makanan anda. Sungguh pun begitu, at some of the cafe on Main Street U.S.A, ada yang jual cake, muffin or waffle. There's a fast food restaurant selling fish and chips also.

At 12.30pm, we moved to the next show at The Golden Mickey Theater. We were performed by the musical show honoring favorite Disney film such as Beauty and The Best, Toy Story, Mulan and beauty and The Beast.

Note 4:
Most Show in Disneyland HK were performed in Cantonese. Even there are English subtitles provided, feel dia dah kureng sikit jadiknya :(

At 3.30 pm, we all walked back to the Main Street Area.

Waaa!!! It's the Disney Character's Parade!!
GPapa sungguh berminat nampaknya. :)

I think Oman only enjoyed watching the show for the first 3 minutes only. After that dia ZzzzZZZZzzz. =D

During the show, i suddenly realized that many of the Disney Character's i didn't recognize, or i know the cartoon name but i didn't know it was by Disney, which make me realized that i wasn't really a cartoon fan at my childhood. Entah ko paham ke tak paham aku pun tak paham ni ha. =D

For your time planning, please take note on the 3 most awaited performance show time in Disneyland HK.

After the parade, we followed mama to visit the souvenirs shops along the Main Street U.S.A. Mama is a very generous lady tau. Selain untuk sedara mara, besan-besan dan anak2 buah, kalau boleh kat semua anak murid dia pun dia nak belikan fridge magnet :)

Bila dah selesai shopping souvenirs, we then decided to make the next visit to the AdventureLand. On this land, you could enjoy The Jungle River Cruise, Rafts and Tarzan's Treehouse, Liki Tikis and Festival of The Lion King.

Kesudahannya we had to passed them all since both babies were still asleep (Padahal Mak ayah atuk nenek pakcik makcik semua pun dah ngantuk. :))

Fine! I dengan Ima memang tak behave. :P

Sebab adik rajin amik gambar, maka elokla suruh adik amik gamba banyak-banyak. heh! :p

Dia suka camera. Saya suka air coke. :p

Moving to TomorrowLand, masa ni anak-anak pun dah bangun. Dah petang pun. Earlier we stopped for a coffee and waffle break at one of the coffee house on the Main Street U.S.A.

At TomorrowLand, agaknya Oman dah cukup tidur, he agreed to play with two more rides which were Orbitron and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters (yang ni macam main tembak-tembak robot la).

More attractions that could be found here such as Stitch Encounter, Space Mountain (Yang ni para dewasa yang naik termasuk I yang 'berani'), UFO Zone, and Autopia. Sambil jalan-jalan kat sini, you may meet with Buzz Lightyear and Stitch. :).

As for the street performance, we met with these guys;

They performed some rhythm by beating the trash can. Cool!! :)

To be honest, we feel that one day is more than enough to visit Disneyland HK. To wait for Tinkerbell Castle Illumination and Disney In The Starts Fireworks, we were kind of having 2 hours more to go. Masa ni dah rasa macam nak naik teksi balik hotel sendiri jer. Tapi kesian pulak kat pak Cik bas nanti.

In future, we wish that the park management will add more interesting rides for more attractions, contohnya the rides yang macam kat Universal Studio or Disneyland LA.

Tapi takpe. Afterall, Kami bersyukur sangat-sangat dapat menjejakkan kaki ke sini bersama keluarga. Alhamdulillah :)

Cantik lampu.

Masa ni dah tak tahan kaki. So masing-masing duduk-duduk ajerla kat sepanjang Main Street.

Tapi Tuan-Tuan dan Puan-Puan, the moment Fireworks dah start, PERGGHHH!!! Best bangat sih!! For the first time in my life, i tengok fireworks performance depan mata. Kagum sangat!

Ala kalau setakat yang jiran-jiran letup2 time Deepavali tu, tak kiralah kan. :p

Teramat ya amat cantik!!!! :)

BACKDATED: SYAWAL BIRU 2011

Ekoran dari entry Menjelang Raya 2011, kini, I would like to continue the story with what had happened on the 1st Syawal itself.

The first thing in the morning, macam biasa, berebut nak iron baju, sampin, tudung, semualah, dengan my sisters. Yang lelaki pulak main pass to the ladies merayu-rayu tolong gosokkan baju diorang. Haip! Biasa dia taw. (Sambil tu my mom memberi tazkirah pagi atau dengan kata lainnya, berleter sebab dia dah pesan suh buat semua tu malam sebelumnya :P)

Siapa siap dulu boleh la bergambar dengan Opah.

After breakfast, everybody in the house except my Opah, Oman and I bersiap-siap pulak to go to the mosque for Solat Sunat Eid Al-Fitri.

Not so long after they left to the mosque, Oman woke up with a smile on his face. I wished him, "Selamat Hari Raya, Oman" and he replied, "Oman lapar". Very nice.

We were then quickly got ourselves ready before those who went for prayer arrived home. Nanti kene marah. :)

Well, selesai acara kemuncak, as usual, photo family session.

It took quite a lot of shots to get a perfect one for the three of us. Oman bergerak sana-bergerak sini. Pulak tu, nobody could use his dadda's camera or momma's phone to snap the photo. Abih tu cenggana?? :)

MOMMA & OMAN BEING VAIN

Ting Tong...i snapped this photo right before the door was opened . :)

It was taken in the lift of Seri Pacific Hotel, KL on my second meeting day that I ..eh TM.. becoming the host. We willl be here until next week Monday. Phew!

Tell you, after 2 days pergi balik from Shah Alam to KL, with heavy rains, too many junctions, too many cars on the road, i feel like to quit driving for the rest of my life already. Boy!! It took me more than one hour to reach home after work.

Yesterday was even worse, my co-pilot kept telling me lies. I listened to him patiently, he ended up brought me to go through this Loiroing Hejji Teyyib. Yerr! That's how you pronounced Lorong Haji Taib, Mr GPS. Because of you, I only reached home after 2 hour and a half. pffft.

Lama Oman tunggu baru momma dia sampai. Dadda pulak was at Kedah attending an aunty's funeral (Al-Fatihah). When i reached home, Oman immediately asked me to main kejar-kejar with him.

Oman: Jomla momma. Cepat kejar Oman.
Momma: Heh? Main tengok-tengok TV nak?
Oman: Tanokkkkkkkla..

It's very interesting that Oman's now able to talk over the phone quite professionally. Favorite dia pun!! If the house phone's ringing, he's the one who'll run to answer the call. Takde chance orang lain dah.

So, using my handphone, i dialed the house number.

House phone: Truttt!! Trutt!! Trutt!! Trutt!!
Oman: Hello, Oman ni.
Momma: Hello Oman. Oman buat apa?
Oman: Oman tengah main.
Momma: Tanyala ni sapa, man.
Oman: Ni sapa ney?
Momma: Ni Aunty Nuurill.
Oman: Ooooo. Okay, bai. Assalamualaikum.
Momma: eh jap!!
Oman: (Pap dia letak)

Momma: Man, ada orang telefon Oman ker?
Oman: aah. Oman dah letak dah.

JUST ANOTHER STORY..

Actually i tak tau nak letak tajuk apa entry ni. :)

There's one afternoon, when my mother in law came for her regular visit to our house in Shah Alam, she wanted to keep something in the guess room's cabinet. She opened the knobs, and she saw this,

Tadaa!! :P
She nearly got fainted.

I know!!
Semua orang pun sila pengsan sekarang.

I was with her at that time. Dengan tersengeh dan tersipu, i explained to her, "Relax ma. Jangan pengsan tau. Nuurill memang plan nak kemas PETANG ni pun". Then, She softly asked me, "Nak mama tolong? Let's do it together k". I pun cakap lagi, "Eh takpe takpe. Senang je ni. I'll do myself later k". Mama senyum.

Senang je ni? Dah tu kalau senang, kenapa dari tahun 2010 lemari ni macam ni????. Marahku kepada diri sendiri. Teheheheehe.

It's actually memang tak susah u ols. Tapi Puan punya shawls yang kurang rajin. :P

Boleh i bela diri sikit tak?? Those in the cabinets, i seldom use them. They are my collections from 2005. Initially memang they're neatly arranged in there, but once a while when i wanted to use one of them, i was always in hurry condition, jadi mak main redah jela. Sekian.

Tapi kan.. yang i always pakai, i do hang them in my master bedroom. X caya tengok;

Pun kalau my mil tengok dia akan pengsan.

Mengenangkan that peristiwa, I requested from hubby and Oman, that i need half of the day (masa tu Sunday), to perform that operation. Tergezut tengok keadaan lemari tu, Armi terus agree :p

Seb baik after that i remember that i did buy the same type of hanger from Wakaf Che' Yeh, Kelantan. RM10 je satu. Cari punya cari dekat sejam baru jumpa. Elok je lagi dalam plastic.

Bakul ni jadi tempat letak inner. Kreatifla...konon :)

Up to today, it has been 2 months since i perform that housekeeping, those shawls/scarfs are still neatly arranged like those in the picture. Memang ade a few lagi x ber hang lagi but they have been perfectly folded and kept nicely in the cabinet.

Ehem. Doakan their condition will still maintain like this untuk 5 tahun lagi kay. Ahaks. :P

p/s: Kat KL ade tak kedai yang jual this kind of hanger selain IKEA?

I've been composing this entry since 6 days ago. Masa sungguh mencemburui daku tau. I tried to stay up after the boys sleeping but after one paragraph, i knocked my head on my laptop.

Now i write again. Oman tengah asyik dengan Si Upin Ipin tu ha. Peluang nih! :)

Bagun Pagi, gosok gigi, cuci muka, terus mandi.

Tapi tak sebenarnya.
Bangun-bangun aje i pergi try baju. Serius rasa dah lama sungguh tak pakai T-shirt nak gi outing. :P Kot-kotla tak muat, terpaksa pulak amik masa untuk cari baju lain kan.

I drove Mdm Nabira to pick Nadia and Nadine at Nadia's house. Then the three of us headed to Blu Inc Media Office in Petaling Jaya. Nadine as the co-pilot did a very good job showing the right way supaya we all tak sesat barat. Syukur.

7.45 am

The first person i saw after i parked my car was Kak Ina. It was really nice to meet her again since Neutrogena's Event. The bus finally arrived. The feeling was exactly like going for a school trip to Tugu Negara... Contohnya :). I was seated next to a very sweet secondary school girl, Sharifah. She joined this programs with all her sisters coming along. So nice and adventurous of them.

Approaching Janda Baik. Even though the road after highway was little bit challenging dengan jalan yang x berapa nak luas and berbukit-bukit, I really love the tranquility of this place. Sejuk je mata memandang. Memang Allah nak bagi supaya kami lebih menikmati keindahan alam, the bus dropped us quite a way from Aman Rimba Resort , that required us to walk beramai-ramai. Almost 10 minutes walking, we were accompanied by endless natural tropical beauty and beautiful river stream sound. Indah!

The program started with the welcoming speech and briefing from the organizer. Then, as indicated in the itinerary, the first activity would be the treasure hunt. All of us were divided into a few group following the hand ribbon color that distributed to us. Mine was Grey!! :)

Yang mana? Yang paling kurang cerah tu lah :)

Everyone was very committed. Good job!

Most of the participants were mothers and daughters. Suiting the title of this program, could really see that memories were sweetly created between them. They helped each other, they ran together and they laughed.

Imagining me with my mama running together, i think my abah would feel very proud of her wife who have been 30+ years avoiding herself to jog even once. :p

The next activity was to listen to a talk about Protecting against Cervical Cancer Together by Dr. Yap Moy Juan, the Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist, The Fetal Medicine & Gynecology Center, PJ.

To give an earlier idea and understanding to all, the objective of this talk was to educate mothers and daughters on the risk of cervical cancer and how it can be prevented.

Meh i share apa yang i salin (kindly pardon the way i wrote my notes. Entah lintang pukang, entah ayat rojak-rojak. Almaklumla writing while listening :p)

1. Malaysia, cervical cancer: 3rd highest in Malaysia

Number 1 is Breast Cancer, and number 2 is Colorectal cancer. Worlwidely, every two minutes a woman dies of Cervical Cancer. Ok i takut! :(

2. What is the cervix and cervical cancer ni sebenarnya?

Sapa tau angkat tangan? Honestly kalau ditanya before i went to this program, i akan jatuh tangan sebab i mmg tak sure part mana sebenarnya adalah cervix. Tapi sekarang i know already. Dia macam ni, Cervix ni sebenarnya located at where the womb joining vagina.

3. Agent of cancer : HPV human papilloma virus

4. Not sexual desease. jgn pulak nak salahkan hubby.

Maksud i, kalau tetiba kita ditakdirkan menghidapi penyakit ini dan yakin gaya hidup kita sexually safe, jangan terus melulu berburuk sangka dan salahkan hubby. This virus could be everywhere. Under the bed-sheet, bawah katil, dalam toilet, etc.
Some women have a greater chance of getting cervix cancer if they:

Have HPV and it doesn’t go away
Have HIV or AIDS
Smoke

5. Is cervical cancer preventable??

The answer is Yes.
For girls below 20 years old, there is 3 stage of HPV vaccination.
For ladies above 20 years old, again, do you Papsmear test.

6. Regular check up (Papsmear)

Every woman is encourage to perform their annual Papsmear test. Janganla cingelat Tau!!. It's for our own good. Dengan test inilah kita boleh tau how's the condition di bawah sana. The Pap test looks for changes in the cervix that might lead to cancer. If cancer does occur, the Pap test can find it early when it is easier to treat.

According to Dr Yap, if the first two consecutive paps negative, than you could perform the third test after 3 years.

7. 14-19 age

This is the target group for Medical Association (MMA) Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Programme. With this, two or three doses of vaccination will be provided at an access price while the third dose will be provided free of charge to encourage dosing compliance and ensure optimal efficacy.

Dr Yap Moy Juan introduced and interviewed Mrs Victoria Victor, ibu prihatin yang telah pun membawa her daughter, Pamela Victor to be protected by HPV vaccinations. She's a lucky girl. Huge round applause to both of them.

This vaccination is expected to significantly reduce the lifetime risk of cervical cancer, alongside screening and a healthy lifestyle.

8. RM466 for two doses of vaccination.

Payment for these vaccinations can be made in two equal installments of RM233 upon the administration of the first and second dose of the vaccine. The third dose is FOC.

Here are some tips that i managed to jot down during the VJ Demo;

Foundation - Apply it from top, press to the skin and bring it down. Then up to down again and again.

Blusher - Put on smile so your cheek will coming out, blush the cheek and bring it a bit upper your cheek.

Eye Shadow - To blend it with you eye skin, use your finger. Use darker color tone to apply behind the eye lid by using tapping technique.

Curler - To wear before applying mascara. Important!

Mascara - Zig Zag application. Left and right.

Lipstic - apply gloss after lipstick

BACKDATED: MENJELANG SYAWAL 2011

This is a backdated story no. 1 about our Syawal celebration this year.

Oman, Hubby and I went back to my hometown, Sitiawan, 3 days before Hari Raya. Just like the years before, it's a tradition that during these few days approaching Syawal, all of us adik-beradik mana yang dapat balik awal, akan bergotong royong meniptopkan (kata akar: tip-top. :p) rumah agar menjadi bersih, licin dan tampak lebih anggun di hari raya.

Berkaliber sungguh I sebagai Kak Yung, bukan?. =D

When we reached Sitiawan, it's just about Buka Puasa time. All members in the family, complete, were already there waiting for us.. eh!! actually waiting for Oman. Lerrr.

The next day, which was Sunday, tektiknya adalah mengemas secara ala kadar, because we knew that Raya would not be on the next day. Haha! But the lady boss in the house, my mom, mana boleh duduk diam kan. She prepared a very long list of groceries and passed it to the boys. Santan, daging, cili api, ayam, ikan, Syrup, many more... The boys pun berdesup ke pasar while the girls' to housekeep the rooms and kitchen side.

Oman and Dadda were actually on the girls team. :P Masa ni lah my hubby nak collect points from his mother in law, so he volunteered to rub the drain. I yang dengar ni berbunga-bunga sungguh hati. Oh my hero!!

Alih-alih, when i checked them out there, i saw this;

Aik??? Ni sapa yang collect points ni?
Hubby told me that Oman insisted to do it so he x sampai hati nak kecewakan his son.
Boleh? =D

By noon, every body in the house dah hampir pancit, especially the boys..

Yang baju biru tula Abah Chik Oman. Dia yang paling rajin...tido :p

My husband and My Kak Lang had to go back to work the next day, so by 3pm they had to leave. Both of them would return back to Sitiawan after working on Monday. Gigih Bukan? Since sorang balik KL and sorang lagi balik Penang, sebagai bekalan berbuka puasa di dalam kereta if let say they're stranded on the road due to traffic jam, I prepared for them Kuih Cuk Keria. I think almost everyone in this house loves this kuih yang namanya lebih famous dengan Kuih Gelang.

It was really an entertaining kuih gelang making process since i was helped by someone yang sangat-sangat rajin;

Yer Betol!! Encik Oman namanya.

5 biji kuih gelang hasil tangan Oman. Tehehehehe.

Keesokan harinya, I tersedar dari tidur when i heard bunyi orang potong rumput keliling rumah. Ish Ish.. dah pukul 7 pagi rupanya!! I quickly performed my prayer and then meninjau-ninjau kawasan rumah.

My two brothers were cleaning the compound of the house and my mom pulak was talking to his pokok serai. "Dah nasib kamu pokok seghai. Nak aghi ghaye ni, aku potongler kamu banyok-banyok ye dok?. Nanti aku tanamler lagik kamu". I just laughed at her.

Eh wait, who's that lady in an Orange t-shirt??

Me. Inilah masanya korang nak gelak pon =D
My mom cakap i exactly looked like a woman in confinement.

Setelah tersentap dengan kritikan my mom itu. I quickly took my bath and ready to help her to cook rendangs, kuah kacang, and nasi impit.

While the ladies were busy with ketung-ketang (bunyi periuk) in the kitchen, the boys were very occupied in the living and dining hall.

Oman enjoyed the company so much!!.
Asyik ikut je jer ape yang abah Chik dia buat.

I think around 2 pm like that, we ladies were almost done. Rendang daging and ayam? Checked. Nasi Impit? Checked. Kuah Kacang? Checked. For the first time, i made rendang ayam 90%-ly myself. The other 10% i gave to my mom for being there to confirm what i did step by steps were correct. Improvement, Nuurill. :)

It's a little bit emotional situation that afternoon when my brother's wife, had to say good bye as she needed to report her duty that night in Kuala Lumpur. We packed her the rendangs, ketupat, and all so that she wouldn't feel lonely and sad for celebrating 1st Syawal at work. Takpe, dah tanggungjawab kerja kan. Nak buat cemana. Insya Allah, tahun-tahun depan we celebrate Syawal sama-sama k. Amin

That night after out last berbuka for year 2011, we had the fireworks session and it's the second for Oman to experience it. Oman was takut sangat-sangat on the first time, which was the night before.. tapi.. malam tu tidak lagi;

That was sedikit sebanyak coretan malam raya kami for this year. Nanti i sambung lagi k!!

THE LITTLE ARTIST

I'm taking a leave today after spending one whole saturday in Janda Baik with mommy bloggers yang sungguh sporting dan mengancam, then yesterday at my parents in law's open house, melayan tetamu-tetamu yang datang dengan meriahnya.

Because of that, this morning when Oman opened his eyes, terus senyum when he saw me next to him.

Oman kemain lagi sekarang, he wakes up few times in the middle of the night and crying for me if i wasn't sleeping beside him. Momma dah jadi macam pinball pulak. Kejap tido atas kejap tido bawah. Heeeee.

Ever since Oman been introduced to pen/pencil/colour pencil/crayon, his love towards drawing developed tremendously. If not on paper, table and wall pun boleh. Ada satu hari tu lepas balik kerja, hampir pengsan bila I nampak dinding, siap sarung kusyen yg white colour tu jadi kertas lukisan Oman. Terpaksa jadi garang cakap nak pukul tinggi-tinggi (maksudnya tangan tinggi kat atas sebelum hayun untuk babab dia). He was scared for about... 5 minutes. Haiya!!

2 months ago, that's the first time when Oman's NOT drawing worms. He showed me this,

Momma: Eh ni apa ni Oman?
Oman: Banana la. Oman dah cabut kulit dia.
Momma: Oooooo. (phew!!) =D

and came up his second drawing, mee goreng.

He told me he didn't draw the telur mata on top of that mee because bibik said telur dah habis.

Omai!! Kids imaginations nowadays are seriously impressive!! :)

Because of his so much passion towards drawing, i am currently having this apps installed in my phone and his ipod;

"Whiteboard Lite"

So far, Oman loves it a lot! It helps to save his airmata whenever he wants to draw but no paper or pencil/pen is around. It's also now becoming one of his favourite activity in the car. :)

Because of this passion too, Oman's now having his own simple colorful workstation. Mudah untuk dia mencurahkan ilham-ilham (Memang he uses it very well, tak sampai seminggu, habis satu meja sampai ke kaki-kaki meja tu dia curahkan ilham dia!! =D)

Heeeeeee... that's the real feeling! I think when people say you look younger than your age is actually one of the biggest complement for a woman. Kan?

The outermost of our skin is called Epidermis and the inner is called Dermis. Epidermis ni nipis, manakala dermis pula tebal. There are 2 types of dermis; papillary and reticular. (eh terasa macam cikgu bio pulak)

Now, let's see the difference between young skin and aged skin.

Young skin: skin that is firmed and elastic

Kulit yang muda adalah kulit yang anjal dan bounce back nyer cepat kalau ditekan ke dalam. Cuba tekan kulit anda sekarang. :)

Aged skin: skin that is wrinkled and sagging

Kawan-kawan, free tak malam esok? Jom la tengok rancangan kat bawah ni;

Dokumentari project pembikinan Jalur Lebar Berkelajuan Tinggi (HSBB) by Telekom Malaysia.

For those who have asked before , what my job is all about, you may have some idea after watching this documentary.

Of course i tak involve 100% of the infrastructure of HSBB. Apart from meeting other Telecom provider, my job adalah di bahagian SUBMARINE sehinggalah naiknya connection itu ke Submarine Cable Station.

Sungguh pun sangat sangat little contribution from me, saya tetap sangat-sangat terharu. Aww!

To my team and the other (you know who you are) who have done more, who's giving all their contributions in this arena, bravo! :D Proud of you guys.
